VG10 Core Multi-Layer Steel Blade
Fine Japanese knife making craftsmanship creates the flowing and exquisite patterns, known as "Damascus" steel, by alternating 33 layers of soft low-carbon stainless steel and hard high-carbon stainless steel. Its soft and hard layer structure realizes a higher strength and rigidity than general 3-ply steels. These Damascus patterns appear by random blow with the craftsman's handwork, so each knife has a unique pattern. The blade uses VG10 steel for the core, clad with multi-layer steel for ridigity and hardness. The handle is made of Walnut.
