We are
less than a month away from the most
exciting and important event for Carter Cutlery -- The Blade
Show in
Atlanta, Georgia, May 29~31. This year promises to be another
spectacular show for Carter Cutlery and all our attending customers.

Machete Shaving!

Thanks
to the incredible
stir on YouTube after Murray shaved his beard with a
Japanese machete (Koshi-nata), the organizers of the Blade Show asked
Murray if he would perform for a crowd of show-goers on Sunday
afternoon (May 31) at 1:00 pm in Room 110. Now
that Murray got
a chance to practice by shaving in front of a large group in Eugene,
Oregon, at the recent Oregon Knife Collector's Show, you can expect a
great performance. Please pray for Murray's safety and that he will
have a steady hand as he moves a 20" knife all around his face! Once
again, the important details are: Murray

of YouTube, Murray will bring the actual knife he
forged for the
YouTube video presentation, "World
Record Kuro-uchi Speed Forging." During
the show, customers wishing to purchase the knife may put a card
including their name, phone number and bid amount in a closed box. The
winner of this silent auction will be announced
right after the shaving
demo on Sunday afternoon -- another great reason to come and watch the
shaving. If Murray slips while shaving, that auction knife will
suddenly sky-rocket in value!!

Carter Cutlery Dinner Party

Last
year we had quite a bash as those in attendance celebrated the First
Annual Carter Cutlery Dinner Banquet. At that dinner banquet, Murray
presented a review of the previous year's highlights and unveiled plans
for the next year as well. This year's presentation will follow a
similar format. The cost last year was $60 per person, but this year we
will keep the price down to $50. Those interested should contact Carter
Cutlery
and arrange to send a $25 deposit to guarantee their seat. The deadline
to reserve participation will be May 25, 2009. Each
year Carter Cutlery receives a handful of VIP passes for our best
customers. VIP passes allow entry into the Blade Show at a discount and
Early Bird Admission (entry into the show before the other show-goers
are allowed to get in). If you are planning to come to the show and
