 Shop News
As announced in our last newsletter, Murray has finished a fresh batch of 25 neck knives. We've added these knives to our New Products page, but the most exciting aspect of this newest batch of neck knives is that finally after 23 years, and thousands of knives later, Murray has found his knife. After selling his personal neck knife on a recent business trip, Murray has been looking for a knife that really called to him. If you've followed Murray's career for long you'll know that Murray believes each knife he makes is made specifically for one person. Now, after much deliberation, forging, and designing, Murray has finally developed his perfect profile. Murray is so excited about this newest profile that he's already forging more of these models, so subscribe to our New Products alerts now, because Murray's (Perfect) Model is sure to sell out quickly.

Also to be added to the Kitchen Knives page will be a fresh batch of our highly valued Stainless Fukugozai-Riveted Handle kitchen knives.

2012 Eugene Knife Show April 13th-15th.

We're very excited to be returning to the annual Oregon Knife Collectors Association knife at the Lane Events Center in Eugene, Oregon. You may be surprised to find out, but Eugene is the location for one of the largest annual knife shows in the world. Last year was an incredible show, with upwards of 5000 knife enthusiasts in attendance. This year we'll be back again with new knives, new videos, and a presentation on what the North American market is looking for in Japanese cutlery. As one of the guest speakers, Murray will give a detailed look into what has caused the massive trend towards fine Japanese cutlery for professionals and at-home chefs over the past fifteen years. This comparison between Eastern and Western cutlery manufacturing approaches will educate and equip the audience to make informed decisions towards their next kitchen purchase. Murray's perspective is sure to be unique as the only North American, traditionally-trained Japanese bladesmith. Carter Cutlery will be set up at table P01 and Murray will be giving two presentations, the first on Saturday, April 14th @ 10:00AM, and the second on Sunday, April 15th @ 11:00AM.
If you're able to attend, don't worry about how to pay for your knives, we'll be able to process Visa, Mastercard, or American Express payments, in addition to cash money.

"Hey Murray,
I bought your fundamentals of sharpening download and I can now effectively sharpen my knives!  Hooray!  Haha.  I bought some whetstones a while back but had no skills to go with them and frankly would never have thought of secondary edge shaping before primary edge sharpening.  And the steep  scary sharp indeed.    Thanks for passing your knowledge along!  Have a great day!"
