owdy folks! It's been such an exciting month! To be honest, time has flown by so quickly it doesn't feel like this month is almost over! Read on to find out what has happened and what is about to happen at Carter Cutlery.

Some of our customers have expressed concern that I've been working too hard on other projects, such as our High Performance Tips and Kitchen Cuts Series, in addition to the high energy output that is required by my knife production. Contrary to these concerns that I am not focusing enough on my knife production, these exciting activities have given me new energy and new inspiration for creating high-performing kitchen and outdoor knives. The Kitchen Cuts Series is a celebration of the kitchen knife in use as a multi-functional tool. The High Performance Tips is a celebration of the Japanese ideology that a Master in one craft will humble himself when in the presence of another Master, and when challenged to do a task, he will do it to the utmost of his ability. Each one of the seven topics covered in High Performance Tips (combat handgun, precision rifle, BMW motorcycle off-roading, race car driving, helicopter flying, aerial platform and body-building) are activities I have pursued my whole life, give me great joy and satisfaction, and help me focus better on my job of making knives. The fact that knife sales allow me to pursue these other hobby activities gives me even greater reverence for my craft and appreciation for my loyal patrons.

As announced in last months newsletter, we've uploaded a number of High Grade and International Pro kitchen knives of various lengths and handle materials for your consideration. Just completed was a batch of limited chisel ground neck that will be making their way online soon, and shortly I will be completing a batch of tritium embedded neck knives to match the night sights in your favorite handgun! That's right! Never lose your knife in the dark again! Currently the profiles are forged and heat treated, but I'm trying to work out the best way to embed the tritium into the handle material.

Hey, that reminds me, if you haven't signed up for our newly revised "Free Knife Tips" on our homepage, do so now so that you don't miss out on some unbelievable offers that only tip subscribers are allowed to take advantage of.

NEW FREE Video Series: "Carter Cutlery High Performance Tips"

I am incredibly excited about our newest YouTube Production, High Performance Tips, and it's added a new fervor in the office as we prepare for our exciting upcoming filming schedule. Since completing the long-distance rifle shooting portion of this series, the crew and I have travelled to Castaic, California to attend RawHyde Adventures, BMW's Premier Outdoor Adventure Motorcycle School. Now, I'm not stranger to riding motorcycles, but after receiving three days of expert instruction from the boss himself, Jim Hyde, I realized that I still have much to learn! We'll be bringing you this expert instruction

soon, so be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel! After filming at RawHyde Adventures we travelled to Coarsegold, California to film at Defensive Firearms Training with renowned handgunning expert Rudy Waldinger who showed me that the Wild West is alive and well. This cowboy showed me not only his incredible speed and accuracy, but also the techniques have kept him alive in over 100 gun battles. It was such an honor and a priveledge to learn from these two men as they held nothing back in their instruction. Now as September approaches we're preparing to film the next exciting portion in High
Performance Tips, aerial platform shooting, and I've ramped up my helicopter lessons in a big way! Watch me getting some 'premium' hours in a Vietnam-era UH-1 Huey! This has been a dream come true!

Come September we will take to the sky once more to bring you the expert advice from, Jeff Hall, one of the world's only air-to-ground marksmen. Watch his incredible story here:

Piloting Progress Report

I successfully completed my solo flight and cross country flights during the day and at night -- boy was it intense! After only a few more hours in the pilot's seat, I hope to have the opportunity to be a licensed helicopter pilot.

Have you ever wanted to see what it's like to be in the pilot seat? Join me in the pilot seat from a first person perspective in my first solo helicopter flight here:

Thank you again for your continual support and we look forward to being able to assist you in any way!
